Darrelle Revis, the 2nd best cornerback in the NFL, has signed with his old team, the New York Jets. The contract is astronomical, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

[UPDATE: The details, via Manish Mehta of the Daily News — 5-years, $70 million, with $39 million guaranteed, and $48 million in the first three years.]
Revis, who turns 30 in July, spent six seasons with the Jets, but when he tore his ACL in week two, the team fell apart and then the Jets traded him to Tampa Bay. After one mediocre season there, he was released and signed a 2-year, $32 million deal with the Patriots. In his first season in New England, the Patriots won a Super Bowl.
The Jets also signed Buster Skrine, a slot cornerback for a reported 4-years, $25 million with $13 million guaranteed. He’s expected to fill the void left by Kyle Wilson, who was one of the worst slot corners in the NFL last year.
