Dee Gordon was called out trying to steal second in the top of the ninth inning of the Braves’ 4-3 win over the Dodgers Friday night in Game 2 of the NLDS.

Gordon, who pinch ran for A.J. Ellis, appeared to slide in ahead of the throw from Atlanta catcher Gerald Laird. Credit Andrelton Simmons for using his back foot to block the bag — or if you’re a Braves’ fan, Bill Miller for making the call.

Even on replay it was inconclusive. The Twitterati initially thought it was a terrible call. After TBS showed replays from different angles some people changed their minds. Either way, this would have been a fun one for those manager’s challenges that are coming to baseball next season.

There was indeed one person inside Turner Field who was sure Gordon was safe: Gordon.

A guy who’s out doesn’t make a face like that, does he?

The series is tied 1-1. Game 3 is Sunday night in Los Angeles. [Images via Imgur]
