Derrick Rose Hit an Unbelievable Game Winner Against Cleveland in Game 3
By Michael Shamburger
Derrick Rose drained a crazy three-pointer as time expired to push Chicago past Cleveland 99-96 in game 3 of their playoff series. Rose’s shot came just after J.R. Smith hit a big three for Cleveland to tie the game at 96. Chicago now leads the series 2-1.
Rose finished with a game-high 30 points (on 26 shots) but also had seven rebounds and seven assists. Jimmy Butler added 20 points for the Bulls, who had to win with Pau Gasol only playing 22 minutes (hamstring).
Butler’s defense on LeBron (27 points on 25 shots) was terrific, and for Cleveland, Kyrie Irving injured his ankle early and couldn’t finish all night at the rim (3-of-13 shooting, 11 points).
Game 4 is Sunday at 3:30 pm.
