DeSean Jackson Shares Photo of His Touchdown Day After Losing to Eagles
DeSean Jackson caught a long touchdown, backpedaled into the endzone, and spread his wings on Sunday afternoon; at the time, it was a major play in the game, tying the score at 27, but it’s not going to be much more than a footnote on the season after Philadelphia pulled away in the fourth. The Washington receiver shared this photo on Monday afternoon, and one wonders if Jackson feels like he stuck it to Chip Kelly and his former team.
We’ll never truly know whether, in his heart of hearts, Jackson would’ve preferred his stat line of five catches, 117 yards, and a touchdown in a losing effort to three catches for 23 yards in a win. (Though, this utterly unverifiable source purports the former.) This is almost like a bizarro Cary Williams situation, and the notion that Jackson was happy when he had a big game in a loss was one of the things that trickled out after he was released from the Eagles.
Whether or not Jackson feels that way, it’s a wonder that he hasn’t learned by now not to post things to social media to stoke that fire.
