Deshaun Watson Should Get Paid For This De Facto Nike Ad

Clemson Tigers star quarterback Deshaun Watson was at the Elite 11 camp at Nike headquarters. He posted this video on Instagram.
Once you’re finished salivating over his slow motion footwork and throwing motion, play “count the swooshes.” We counted at least 15 swooshes in the video, five on Watson alone. We also spotted a couple Jumpmans for good measure. Quite the product placement.
Nike did not compensate Watson for this Instagram post of course. College football players do it for the love of gratuitous advertisement. Almost literally anyone involved in college athletics can profit from it except the athletes, even those they are dating.
