Florida Pulled Off a Hidden Ball Trick Against College of Charleston
By Michael Shamburger
The Florida Gators, the number 2 national seed, used the old hidden ball trick against College of Charleston in the first inning of their regional game in Gainesville. Florida shortstop Richie Martin had the ball in his glove when Nick Pappas stepped off of second base. Martin quickly tagged Pappas while Florida pitcher Logan Shore re-tied his shoe completely off the mound. Somewhere, Henry Rowengartner is smiling.
