Geno Smith Signed With Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports
Geno Smith, the former West Virginia quarterback who tumbled all the way to the New York Jets in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, has signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. Smith was previously represented by Select Sports, but he allegedly dropped them after his televised free fall from the green room last month. From NFL.com:
“I think it’s a good move,” Smith said Wednesday, according to the New York Daily News. “My family is comfortable with it. I’m comfortable with it.”
Smith told reporters joining the agency fronted by an iconic rap mogul is not “because of an image thing.” Roc Nation Sports appears to be a rising force in the industry.
I am looking forward to Jay-Z releasing a track about how Geno Smith should start over Mark Sanchez. He will likely have an entire verse about headbands.
