Isaiah Thomas, 5-foot-10, Blocked Bernard James, 6-foot-10, on a Dunk Attempt
By Jason McIntyre
Isaiah Thomas, the 2nd round pick from Washington who Sacramento took after snagging Jimmer Fredette in the lottery, is having another outstanding season, and it now includes a block-of-the-year candidate. Thomas, giving away a foot to Bernard James of the Mavericks, soared Monday night to thwart a dunk attempt.
I can’t believe this isn’t a GIF yet and the NBA needs to give everyone multiple angles of this rejection.
Thomas is averaging 18.2 ppg, 5.3 apg, and he’s shooting 45 percent from the field and 42 percent from three. Now that Sacramento has traded starting point guard Greivis Vasquez to Toronto, the Kings will give Thomas the job and he’ll have an opportunity to get an extension at season’s end.
The Kings won’t be extending Jimmer Fredette.
