J.R. Smith Confirms He and Iman Shumpert Were New York's Trash, Cleveland's Treasure

There’s still a series or two of NBA basketball left to be played, but we already know that Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith are this season’s big winners. Languishing in New York on a horrible Knicks team, Smith and Shumpert were traded to the Cavs mid-season and along with the help of LeBron James and a few other nice young men, helped transform Cleveland into the Eastern Conference Finalist that stands before you today. This does not escape J.R. Smith who perhaps feels like he and Iman Shumpert were not appreciated or wanted in New York.
