Jim Caldwell Says Refs' Explanation for Changed Call "Wasn't good enough"

Jim Caldwell is known for his stoicism. This postgame press conference, though tame by beer commercial meltdown standards, is about as emotional as the Lions coach gets. When asked about whether he received an explanation after Pete Morelli, inexplicably and without explanation, reversed the call of pass interference on Anthony Hitchens, Caldwell was unsurprisingly not satisfied.

“It was not good enough,” he said. “I’m gonna leave it at that. I’m not gonna sit up here and act like that was the call that made the difference in the game. We still had our chances.”

Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew was also not happy:
