It’s the end of an era for the Phillies.

Jimmy Rollins, who has been with the Philadelphia Phillies since entering MLB in 2000, is headed West to the Dodgers. At 35, the shortstop’s production has tailed off in recent years. The peak of his career was in 2007 when he was the NL MVP after hitting 20 triples and scoring 139 runs.

The Phillies won the World Series in 2008 with Rollins at the core of the team. They reached the postseason in 2009, 2010 and 2011, but haven’t been back since. All that’s left from the World Series core are fading stars Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, and pitcher Cole Hamels.
