John Henry Now Owns The Boston Globe, According to Peter Gammons' Website

This was not a butt tweet. Peter Gammons is reporting that Red Sox and Liverpool owner John Henry has purchased the Boston Globe from the New York Times Corporation. Henry submitted a personal bid after NESN backed away. Forbes estimated the paper would go for $100 million, after selling for $1.3 Billion in 1993.
Buying into print media is sort of like buying into Liverpool. Prestige, past glory and optimism fading swiftly into a bleak depression.
