John Oliver on DFS: If Online Gambling's Legal, "We Should at Least Do it on Purpose"

John Oliver did a 19-minute segment on daily fantasy sports. As with many of his bits, if you’ve been paying close attention to the story as it’s developed there wasn’t an inordinate amount of new information, but it did have strong kickers and funny photoshops. The thrust of the piece was that was Oliver’s opinion that daily fantasy is gambling (even if it’s a skill-based game that causes 85% of players to lose), which, in and of itself isn’t necessarily a problem. But, it should be defined as such and then regulated. At the end, there was also a parody ad for daily fantasy sports, which featured Seth Rogen, that was relatively similar in format (though not dialog) to a sketch done by AOL’s 2-Point Lead last month.
