Kevin Love Does Not Want to Play in Cleveland, Won't Sign an Extension There, Report Says
By Jason McIntyre
Welp, Cleveland tried. The Cavs get an ‘A’ for effort.
Cleveland pursued Kevin Love in hopes of pairing one of the NBA’s best forwards with one of the NBA’s best point guards, all with the intent of landing LeBron James in free agency.
But according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Love wants no part of Cleveland.
"Through Love’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, Cleveland was warned that Love would opt out of his contract in 2015 and never consider the Cavaliers’ offer of a long-term maximum contract"
What a buzzkill. I’m going to go grab a 6-pack and drown my sorrows. Do I like Cleveland? Nope. But I do like chaos, and Lebron-to-Cleveland would have created just that. What a storyline it would have been!
Also, I not-so-secretly want LeBron to catch or surpass Jordan’s six rings. To do that, he’ll need to find a younger wingman (or two) and a better supporting cast. I don’t think Pat Riley can pull that off, and I don’t want LeBron to go another season without a ring.
Come on Kevin Love, why do you have to hate Cleveland? This is all your fault.
