Kolten Wong Hits Game Winning Home Run to Even up the NLCS
By Jason Lisk
The Cardinals won a roller coaster Game 2 in St. Louis to even the NLCS at 1-1 when Kolten Wong led off with a home run to break a 4-4 tie. After having a 2-0 lead, the Cardinals lost it to fall behind 3-2 heading into the last three innings. Then, Oscar Taveras and Matt Adams hit solo shots in the 7th and 8th to take the lead.
Trevor Rosenthal, however, struggled in the save situation, and Matt Duffy scored on a wild pitch from second base to tie the game. That set up Wong for hero status with the third home run in three innings for the Cardinals.
