Larry Nance Deleted an Old Tweet Alluding to Kobe's Sexual Assault in Colorado
By Jason McIntyre
Larry Nance was a fine college player at Wyoming, and his four years in college were rewarded when he was the 27th pick by the Lakers in the 1st round of the 2015 NBA Draft.
And quickly, Nance wisely deleted a 3-year old tweet in which he mentioned Kobe Bryant’s sexual assault in Denver.
This will obviously be blown way out of proportion by everyone on the internet, because hey, Kobe’s going to kick his ass in practice! A better story is that Nance overcame Crohn’s Disease in his youth. His father, Larry Nance, had a terrific career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
I’m a bit surprised that when the Lakers did their homework on him, they didn’t check his social media. Might have been wise to have him delete it before it hit twitter.
In a best-case scenario, Nance might become a Draymond Green-type player – can play the 3/4 when the Lakers go small, and at power forward, he can confidently defend guards on the pick and roll.
