LeBron James and Michael Jordan Have Now Been Compared to God by NBA Players

LeBron James turned in another incredible playoff performance against the Pacers Friday – 14-of-20 shooting, 36 points, eight rebounds – and even though he had two turnovers in the final minute that cost Miami a shot at victory, his all-around dominance left Indiana’s George Hill in awe. Hill told the media:

"“It’s only like one person that’s more scarier than that and that’s God. I’m sure if we were looking at Him in the face we would be very nervous. I’m sure He could make all the plays that we want people to make. LeBron is a great player, he’s the MVP for a reason, he’s one of the best to ever play this game.”"

It reminded me of what Larry Bird said about Michael Jordan when MJ hung 63 on the Celtics in the Garden in what could probably be referred to as his NBA coming-out party (note: also a loss):

"“I didn’t think anyone was capable of doing what Michael has done to us. He is the most exciting, awesome player in the game today. I think it’s just God disguised as Michael Jordan.”"

When LeBron’s career is over, it’s looking like he and Michael Jordan will be 1 and 2 in NBA history. The order? Not sure yet.
