Leonard Williams Falls 6th to the Jets in a Shocker
By Jason McIntyre
Leonard Williams, arguably the best defensive player in the 2015 draft, fell to the Jets in a shocker that has Jets fans giddy. Williams was by far the best player on the board in this spot, and he’ll instantly help one of the best defensive lines in the league.
Adding Williams to Damon Harrison, Mo Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson is a modern day New York Sack Exchange for new coach Todd Bowles. He was Mel Kiper’s No. 1 rated player.
Toss in Darrell Revis in the secondary and there’s reason to be excited for this defense.
No, I’m not even ready to worry about Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick. We know they’re terrible.
