Lithuanian Soccer Looks Amazing, Magical and Hilarious

Lithuania’s top soccer division, if this highlight reel is to be believed, is pure magic. This two-minute clips provides us with own-goals, goalie gaffes, fights, players falling over, fans chasing players and all plenty of other laughs — mostly played on fields that would look better suited for high school games. Let’s applaud whomever uploaded the clip to YouTube for having a sense of humor: “Yes, we are not Premier league, La Liga or Serie A, but we have to offer something different!”

My two favorites parts are when the guy tries to climb the fence to celebrate with fans who falls down and the ball getting stuck in a puddle of mud, featured in an earlier Roundup.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed one of these teams will play in the Champions League proper sooner rather than later. We need somebody like Ronaldo or Zlatan Ibrahimovic ruining their expensive haircuts with a dive in the mud.
