Mariano Rivera struck out Michael Morse of the Mariners Tuesday, sealing his 624th career save. The called third-strike was more than a tad generous, with Rivera painting the corner … of the batter’s box. Nice job by Austin Romine to line up well to the left of the plate and pull the ball back as he caught it. Did Jerry Layne have a dinner reservation?
