Memphis' Reggis Ball Stole Auburn Football, Flipped Off Fans
By Ty Duffy
Here was an interesting incident at the end of the Birmingham Bowl. Memphis Tigers safety Reggis Ball stole a ball from the Auburn sideline, wrestling it away from an Auburn equipment manager. He flipped off Auburn fans on his way off the field.
This appears to be a tradition for Ball, even when his team loses by three touchdowns.
"Members of Auburn’s equipment staff were alerted Ball tries to steal a football from opposing teams after the game every time he gets an interception."
Unfortunately, he pilfered Auburn’s practice kicking ball, not a game ball.
UPDATE: Per Brett McMurphy, Ball was booted from the Memphis football team. A bit redundant, since he was a redshirt senior.
