Mike Shanahan: "I'm Trying to Be as Honest as I Can, I Don't Normally Do That"
By Jason Lisk
The circus in Washington has moved to the press conference. Kirk Cousins, Robert Griffin III, and Mike Shanahan have all taken the podium.
Shanahan was particularly animated and on fire at his press conference. He said that owner Daniel Snyder and GM Bruce Allen supported the move going from Griffin to Cousins for the final three games. He also added, “Dan could care less about the other positions” on the team.
Shanahan acknowledged that playing an injured Robert Griffin III in the playoff game may have cost them the game.
Also, I’m pretty sure that Shanahan also admitted that he normally is a bald-faced liar, but you should trust him here. When asked about his animated appearance: “It’s not really worked up. I’m trying to be as honest as I can, I don’t normally do that.” Believe me, now, people. This is all about football.
