Mississippi Stuns No. 3 Alabama With Two Late Touchdowns
By Kyle Koster
Bo Wallace threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Walton with 2:54 remaining to lift Ole Miss over Alabama, 23-17. The Rebels overcame a 17-10 deficit in the fourth quarter with a pair of Wallace touchdown throws and a crucial Crimson Tide fumble on a kickoff return.
Blake Sims’ attempt to lead Alabama back was thwarted by a highlight reel interception by Senquez Golson in the back of the end zone with 37 seconds left.
The win moves Ole Miss to 5-0 for the first time since John F. Kennedy was in the White House and throws the playoff picture into unexpected disarray.
