Michael Sam announced to the world night that he is gay Sunday night. The reaction in the sports world, anonymously sourced NFL front office personal notwithstanding, has been nearly universally positive. The Missouri campus in Columbia openly embraced the All-American defensive lineman via this nice message written out in the snow at Faurot Field.
Good job, Mizzou.
Sam himself later tweeted out a similar picture.
