Moses Malone Jr., the son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Moses Malone, was robbed at gunpoint outside a Houston nightclub on Saturday night. There have been conflicting reports, which state that he either lost $15k or $50k worth of jewelry, but either way it was a harrowing incident.

Per Kaitlin McCulley, a reporter for Houston’s ABC affiliate KTRK, Malone believes that this Facebook post about the high cost of James Harden’s basketball camp led to his getting attacked by the entourage of the Rockets guard:

A rep for the club told KTRK that he didn’t believe Harden was involved:

"“I don’t believe Mr. Harden was at the club, and I definitely don’t believe he had anything to do with an attack on Mr. Malone,” Moore said. “And so the club’s position is that Mr. Malone is a regular of the club. We would have done everything we could to make sure he was safe.”"

A spokesperson for the Rockets did not respond to KTRK’s requests for comment.
