New Orleans Drafts Nerlens Noel 6th, Then Trades Him to Philadelphia For Jrue Holiday
By Jason McIntyre
Not so fast, my friend! The Pelicans just traded Noel and a 2014 1st round pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for Jrue Holiday.
Getting a 2014 pick is key, especially considering the Pelicans could struggle. But giving up Jrue Holiday, their best player? And to take a chance on a guy coming off an injury, after just going through Andrew Bynum? Yikes.
Sacramento got very lucky, as Ben McLemore, the great Kansas scorer, fell to them 7th. Enjoy that group of guys, Ben.
The Pistons, drafting 8th, selected Georgia shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
