Octavius Ellis of Cincinnati was Ejected After Elbowing A.J. Hammons in the Face
By Jason Lisk

Octavius Ellis of Cincinnati got ejected from the game against Purdue after turning and delivering an intentional elbow on a boxout to the face of A.J. Hammons away from the ball. Hammons is seven-foot tall so getting an arm in his face takes effort. Easy call as a flagrant 2. The young man, who is the best interior player for the Bearcats, was clearly distraught afterward, but a temporary moment of losing his mind has really cost his team.
