Olympic Golf TV Schedule, Tee Times, Odds: Will Watson, Fowler, Reed, or Kuchar Win?
By Michael Shamburger
The Olympic golf tournament starts tomorrow and while there has been plenty of talk about golfers withdrawing, the field still has plenty of firepower. America has more players in the field than any other country at four, but according to Vegas, there are three others ahead of the first American listed. Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia, and Justin Rose are the three at the top of Vegas’ favorites, followed by Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, and Patrick Reed.
There’s no way to know how this will play out because we haven’t seen this take place since 1904, but the Americans appear to be embracing the tournament and making it feel as much like a team event as possible even if it is an individual stroke-play tournament.
Michelob ULTRA made a sweet video featuring Scott Langley and Brazilian soccer announcer Nilson César giving the animated play-by-play.
Translation: “He shot from far away! It’s a low one. The lawn is wet. Very wet! Root for it. Look at the goal! Root for it, Brazil! Oh boy, oh boy! Look at the goal! Look at the goal, look at the goal! Oh! Blow it in, Brazil! Push it! Blow it! It’s there, it’s there, it’s there, it’s there, it’s there! Look at the goal! Look at the goal, look at the goal! Look at the goal! Look at the goal, look at the goal! GOAAAAAL!”
To celebrate golf’s return to the Olympics, Michelob ULTRA is inviting fans (21+) to share their best golf shot for a chance to receive their own soccer-inspired video as a parody of the ad. Share your best swings at @MichelobULTRA with the hashtag #ULTRAgolf on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

My Pick
Ummm…I’ve ripped on Olympic golf for months now, but I am still probably going to watch because it’s golf, and I can’t help myself. It would be un-American of me to pick someone other than Watson, Fowler, Reed, or Kuchar, so I’m going with…
