Randall Cunningham's Son Will Be an NFL Quarterback or an Olympian High Jumper. Maybe Both

Here’s the thing – he’s the best high school high jumper in the country. The 2016 Olympics are a real possibility. From the Syracuse Post-Standard:

"Cunningham high jumped 7 feet, 3.25 inches in the Nevada state championship on May 18, which is the top mark in the country among high schoolers this season. His goal is to qualify for the 2016 Olympics, and it’s far from unrealistic. The 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials automatic qualifying standard was 7 feet, 5.76 inches."

Wonder how the NCAA will handle Cunningham’s trip to the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Obviously his father, who had a lengthy NFL career, can afford it. But expect lots of scrutiny, the same kind that is being given to Johnny Manziel right now.

Oh, and college coaches – if you don’t have an elite track and field program, forget about going after Cunningham. Which means he could be deciding between LSU and Baylor. [P-S]
