Robert Allenby, an Australian golfer, said he was robbed and kidnapped in Hawaii this past weekend. Details were a little bit hazy at the time, and now comes word that there are conflicting accounts of what happened. According to 9News Australia:
"A homeless woman who has spoken to police about the robbery of Australian golfer Robert Allenby has said he was just one block from a wine bar as he tried to pay off two men to get his belongings back. The Hawaiian woman told 9NEWS Allenby offered $500 to get his belongings back, but the men became aggressive and Allenby was put into a taxi by a passerby. It conflicts with the account given by Allenby earlier in the day, when he said he was stuffed in a car boot and dumped in a park 10km away."
Wait, what? This is … confusing. Wouldn’t he remember the difference between being put in a taxi and stuffed in a car boot?
What a weird start to 2015: Rob Konrad, the NASCAR driver’s ex-girlfriend assassin, and now the golfer who may or may not have been robbed and kidnapped.
Things that make you go hmmmm?
