Ron MacLean on Hockey Night in Canada to Female Reporter Andi Petrillo, "Oh, Those Cans"

Andi Petrillo, reporter with Hockey Night in Canada, relayed the story last night of the Joel Ward getting stuck in a bathroom. Ron MacLean followed up with “That’s semi-interesting, but I’d rather hear your version of what happened.”, and then, way too loud for being air, uttered, “oh, those cans.”
Are cans some kind of toilet reference? Why would he rather hear her version of a story about being stuck in a bathroom? Oh, those wacky Canadians. Just remember, MacLean works with Don Cherry, so he is not even the most likely to harass someone on the job.
