Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were the subject of a long series of tweets by Salt City Hoops reporter Ben Dowsett, who thought that the Warriors players were disrespectful of the Jazz after a narrow victory in Utah Monday night. Complex embedded the whole Tweet string, but the gist of it involved Green pooh-pooh’ing a fan tweet shown on television about the Jazz “playing like champions,” and Curry downplaying the opponents’ abilities in the postgame press conference. Dowsett wasn’t being scolding about it, per se, but he did carry on for awhile.

Now, Green and Curry have responded:

Part of what drives the Warriors is the idea that everything is a slight, and they’ve presumably manufactured any number of those en route to an NBA championship and a 19-0 record so far this season. Dowsett’s report was therefore unsurprising. Nevertheless, that Golden State is giving their honest best effort night in and night in an NBA season where many (if not most) squads do not supersedes their purported cockiness behind the scenes. This is just the latest item they’ll use for motivation.
