There's Nobody at U.S. Cellular Field Watching the White Sox, Again

Thursday afternoon’s Twins/White Sox game at U.S. Cellular Field was a hot ticket. Or the exact opposite. Twitter user @mattlindner has been posting photos from inside the stadium today and, realistically, all that’s missing are a few strategically-placed tumbleweeds. Let’s estimate there are, at most, 1,000 people inside.
There are a few caveats worth mentioning: it’s rainy, about 39 degrees, the middle of the day and school is still in session. Even so, this is a sub-Marlins level crowd. That said, instead of mockery, I’ll salute any Sox fan — or baseball fan — who made paid actual U.S. currency to watch Phil Hughes duel against Jose Quintana.
Top of the second. 20 people in my section in left field. I've heard all of their life stories. #WhiteSox pic.twitter.com/VhrQE4Rnc7
