These Are the 40 Best Country Music Songs for Your Summer Playlist
For whatever reason, country music sounds way better in the summer. I’ll listen to it on and off during the other months of the year, but as soon as it warms up it’s time for cheesy songs about kicking it by the lake, drinking and/or trying to find love. Non-stop until football season. As my gift to you, here’s a playlist of upbeat summer country jams (limited to two songs per artist so this doesn’t just become a collection of Toby Keith and Luke Bryan’s greatest hits):

[Lisk Editor’s Notes: I’ll note for the record that a) I’m shocked that Chicken Fried was not an easy choice for the Zac Brown Band for summer drinking song, and b) these are some my go-t0’s, fully acknowledging that Texas country may not be as mainstream as that Nashville stuff. A song about drinking Sangria wine, anyone?
And Willie needs to be represented with a drinking song. . .
