Tiger Woods Commits to Playing in Foundation's Event in 2017
By Michael Shamburger
Tiger Woods sent out a tweet that got his fans all worked up Tuesday evening. Woods, who has basically retreated from the public eye, is no fool, and he played with the media as well as fans with the wording of his anouncement.
Of course after clicking through to the post, it’s easy to see that while Woods does plan on returning, it won’t be to this year’s Masters.
"“This is a fantastic opportunity for my foundation. This is the first PGA TOUR event I ever played, and it means a lot to contribute to a community that has supported me and my foundation for more than 20 years. I’m committed to playing in my foundation’s events, and it will be exciting to return to Riviera.”"
Woods has undergone multiple surgeries on his back and is still in the early stages of recovery, but at least we now know that he does plan on returning to the game, even if it is at Riviera Country Club in 2017.
