Tim Hudson left tonight’s Braves – Mets game on a stretcher after suffering a scary ankle injury covering first base in the 8th inning. Eric Young Jr. hit a grounder to first and Tim Hudson covered. Young stepped on Hudson’s ankle, bending it badly. Hudson was taken off the field on a stretcher while Mets fans gave him a warm ovation. Young tried to fight back tears as he apologized to Hudson as he was being carted off.
