Zach Hodskins, a sophomore at Florida who was born without his left hand and forearm, scored his first career points tonight in a Gators win over Jacksonville. Hodskins, who was offered a preferred walk on spot by former Gators coach Billy Donovan, scored on a spinning layup late and drew the foul. Unfortunately, he missed the free throw. Still, that’s a great moment for any walk on playing D-I basketball anywhere in the country. Though this bucket may have been a bit more inspirational than most.
