Vikings Unveiled Renderings of Their New Stadium and They are Pretty Cool
By Michael Shamburger
The Vikings unveiled plans for their new stadium and they are pretty interesting. The Vikings have been trying to get out of the now 31-year-old Metrodome for a while now and with Minnesota approving $500 million in public spending for the new $975 million dollar stadium, they’ll get their wish. The design contains a lot of glass and the same transparent ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) membrane that was used in Beijing during the 2008 Olympics. Apparently this stadium will light up just like the Aquatics Center in Beijing did too.
