Warriors Win Coin Toss, Now Have 72 Percent Chance of Keeping Lottery Pick

Then came Friday’s coin toss. The flip of a coin would decide whether the Warriors would go into the draft lottery 7th or 8th. Essentially, a lottery pick was on the line. If the Warriors finish 1-7 in the draft lottery, they keep their pick. If they finish 8th or worse, the pick goes to Utah.
The Warriors, who tried mightily to lose everything over the last seven weeks … won the coin toss. According to math majors, the Warriors have a 72 percent chance of finishing in the top seven and keeping that pick.
According to the NBA, here’s the rest of the draft lottery order, with the # of ping pong balls in the hopper listed after each team’s record:
