Yordano Ventura Honored Oscar Taveras on His Hat During Game 6 of the World Series

St. Louis Cardinals prospect Oscar Taveras died in a car accident Sunday in his native Dominican Republic. The news broke during Game 5 of the World Series, shocking the baseball world. Tuesday night MLB remembered Taveras with a minute’s silence before Game 6 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
Royals’ starter Yordano Ventura posted a visible note remembering Taveras on the front of his cap.
The Cardinals also honored Taveras Tuesday, turning on a single light in right field at Busch Stadium.
Thousands attended Taveras’ funeral in the Dominican on Tuesday, including Cardinals’ manager Mike Matheny.
