Young Bengals Fan Writes Adorable Letter to Bengals Punter Kevin Huber
By Mike Cardillo
Terence Garvin’s crunching block on Bengal’s punter Kevin Huber during Antonio Brown’s punt return Sunday night was set to become one of the GIFs of the 2013-14 NFL Season. However the play has lost some of its luster since Huber suffered a broken jaw and cracked vertebrae, sidelining him out for the rest of the year. The NFL’s head of officials, Dean Blandino, also said the block was illegal since Huber was “defenseless” during the play.
One young Bengals fan is doing his best to try to cheer Huber up, penning a heartfelt get well soon letter to the injured punter.
"Dear Kevin, I hope you feel better soon. I am mad at the Steelers because you are my #1 player. I am 7 years old and love the Bengals and Bearcats. I know you played for the Bearcats and Bengals and I love the teams. I hope that Steeler player loses his house and has to live in his car. Get well soon, Nicholas Andrew Johnson."
Ah, but from the mouth of babes.
Perhaps the threat of homelessness or sleeping in the car would work as a better deterrent than a simple monetary fine levied by the league office.
Wait … don’t get any ideas, Roger.
