The Mavericks finally made a good business decision this week

Nothing can make up for the Western Conference team trading away Luka Doncic, but at least it's something.

The Dallas Mavericks might've completed the most one-sided trade in NBA history, but only time will tell if the Luka Doncic transaction proves to be as poor as the media, players and fans seem to think it turn out to be. Doncic is heading to the Los Angeles Lakers in a move that completely alters the Western Conference landscape.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks just gave away one of the truly elite NBA superstars at a time where the league is looking for its next generation of talents to step up and carry the league into a new era. Despite the baffling decision by the Dallas front office though, the team did end up making one solid decision in the aftermath.

DLLS Sports reporter Abby Jones says the Mavericks have offered fans refunds for the team's remaining home games this season, which comes in at a value of nearly $2,000.

Doncic will face his former team on Feb. 25 in Los Angeles, while he and the Lakers will come back to American Airlines Arena on April 9 in the first matchup back in Dallas following the trade.

Surely most fans would rather have an incredible player like Doncic to watch for the rest of this season and many years to come, but at least they got their money back for the despair the Mavs have put them through recently.
