Lane Kiffin was surprisingly fired early this morning by USC athletic director Pat Haden after the Trojans returned home from a brutal ass-whipping at the hands of Arizona State. You know how things go after coaches are fired: 1) Negative behind-the-scenes details that may be weeks or months old trickle out; 2) a list of replacement candidates, likely or bizarre, emerge; 3) the media calls recruits of the team that just canned its coach to get reaction.

In 2013, it only took a few hours for media members to get in touch with recruits. Here’s what Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, said about Lane Kiffin:

“I feel that he should have been fired a while ago and USC is going to raise the bar now because the new coaching staff next year and I’m anxious to see what they are going to look like.”
