Bernard Pollard lowered his shoulder and drilled Eric Decker of the Broncos, preventing a reception. It was a clean, pulverizing hit by every angle possible. Yet still, Pollard was flagged 15 yards for a “personal foul.” Here’s a question for the NFL:

What was Pollard supposed to do? Not make a play at all? Go low? Nothing here makes sense. And don’t tell me on Monday they screwed up – what good does that do anyone?

Naturally, the penalty gave Denver a first down, and two plays later, they scored a touchdown to grab a 27-21 lead over the Titans. Tennessee already knocked Wes Welker out of the game; it’s unclear if Decker will return.
