Pittsburgh Nearly Beat Miami with the Most Incredible Multi-Lateral Play in NFL History

Pittsburgh needed a touchdown on the final play of the game, so they played the lateral game. And guess what? They appeared to score a touchdown! But here’s the bad news – Antonio Brown, who appeared to score the incredible game-winning TD, stepped out of bounds around the 15-yard line. Amazingly, he had gotten by everyone on confused Miami, and should have been able to stay inbounds for the game-winning TD. It’s a brutal ending for Pittsburgh, who needed this win to keep pace in the race for the final Wild Card spot in the AFC.

I counted five laterals, and they all looked clean – except maybe Roethlisberger’s. That one was close, but I never saw an isolated replay of it because the play didn’t count.

Would anything in NFL history have compared to this?
