Bill Simmons Pumped His Fist for Successful Jalen Rose Interview With Gregg Popovich

Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose are on-hand for Lakers-Spurs at the Staples Center tonight, and Rose got stuck on Popovich duty. He started off by actually getting Pop to answer his first question — a major achievement — before amazingly managing to get the curmudgeonly Spurs coach to laugh with an Avery Johnson joke. Simmons was proud of his Grantland cohort and gave an emphatic fist pump while Mike Tirico applauded in similar adulation.
