Citi Field is Looking Pretty Empty For Opening Day
By Tim Ryan
It appears that Citi Field is looking rather lifeless for Opening Day baseball, especially considering it’s 50-degree weather. Though I suppose being there to hear the Opening Day lineup introductions has become an unnecessary, overrated experience? Or there’s lots of traffic. Or it’s just too early of a start time to expect the stands to be somewhat packed on the very first game of the season.
Or perhaps this is simply a terrible camera angle that Major League Baseball’s official Twitter account decided to blast out to everyone, and I’m about to hear how it’s packed to the gills and the bro-hugging seen around the stadium is spreading like a wild forest fire.
Whatever. Let’s go Mets.
