Keith Olbermann Sends Heartfelt Message to Craig Sager, Says "Leukemia Picked The Wrong Opponent"
By Mike Cardillo
Keith Olbermann sent a touching message to his longtime friend and colleague Craig Sager last night, after news broke that the colorful TNT sideline reporter would begin treatments for acute leukemia. These treatments will likely keep Sager off Turner’s NBA playoff coverage.
Speaking from the heart, Olbermann relays how, when he began his foray into television in 1981 with CNN, Sager was the first man with whom he worked. Olbermann went on to praise Sager’s tenacity and work ethic. He closes with the simple, powerful line, “leukemia picked the wrong opponent.”
