Although it’s not an official sponsor for the FIFA World Cup™, Nike continues to roll out lavish commercials for the tournament with production values that likely trump every “independent movie” from the 1990s combined. The latest ad from the Swoosh is a CGI mini movie featuring Ronaldo rounding up Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Neymar and others to play an all-or-nothing soccer game against an army of clones — so basically Space Jam 2.
Kids are going to like it.
I’m happy enough Nike allows CGI Tim Howard to rub shoulders with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
