Yasiel Puig Snapped His Bat on a Check Swing Without Making Contact

Yasiel Puig continues to do things just a bit differently than any other player in Major League Baseball. He also continues to remind everyone of Bo Jackson.

Last night he showed off his brute strength by breaking his bat on a check swing. Let me be more specific: he broke his bat while connecting with air.

Using logic, it would seem Puig’s bat was already cracked. A similar thing happened to Marlon Byrd earlier this year.

But honestly, one never knows with Puig. Considering his nightly feats of weirdness, it’s not the craziest thing to accept he has superhuman strength. It’s also not crazy to wonder if he brought an intentionally splintered bat up to the plate on purpose solely to pull off this stunt.

It’d be foolish for a person to suggest they know what’s really going on in that mind of his.
